Richardson Named New EISD Police Chief
Ennis ISD is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Richardson as the new EISD Police Chief.
Richardson has been with Ferris ISD since 2019, serving as a Police Lieutenant. Prior to that, he was a Sergeant at Red Oak ISD, where he was named “Officer of the Year” in 2015 and district “Employee of the Year” in 2016.
Officer Richardson has a Bachelor's Degree from Tarleton State University and a Master’s Degree from Lamar University. Along with his college education, he has an extensive list of law enforcement training and certifications, as well as being a training instructor on multiple levels.
“Lt. Richardson has a vast amount of school law enforcement experience that will be a positive asset for our department.” said Jay Tullos, EISD Superintendent. “We have a great group of officers and feel he will be an excellent leader in keeping our students safe.”
Officer Richardson begins as the EISD Police Chief on March 28th.
