Domain Named New Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
We are excited to announce that Dr. Melinda Domain will be joining Ennis ISD as the new Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, beginning in June.
Dr. Domain's career in education spans 22 years, with 16 of those years spent in Ferris ISD, most recently serving as the district's Assistant Superintendent. She has also worked as Director of Special Programs and Special Projects Coordinator, as well as a campus-level administrator in both Ferris and Ennis ISD in 2011-2012. Prior instructional experience includes teaching English Language Arts and Reading, Spanish, and ESL at grades 6-12.
Dr. Domain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. She earned her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and completed Superintendent Certification studies at the University of Texas at Arlington.
She has been married to Daniel Domain, who is the Technology Director for Venus ISD, for 23 years and has a daughter, Olivia, who is a freshman at Tyler Junior College.
Dr. Domain will be visiting our district over the next few days to begin previewing our schools, while wrapping up her current role in Ferris ISD.
