Dorie Miller Intermediate

Hello and welcome to Dorie Miller Intermediate School! Our faculty and staff are looking forward to an outstanding school year and we know the 2023-2024 school year will be the best one yet! We are excited to see our returning 5th graders and to meet the new 4th graders joining our campus.

At Dorie Miller, we strive to create an environment where all students can thrive and have fun learning. This is accomplished by making connections with students to help them feel safe, valued, and loved. Our dedicated teachers work tirelessly to engage and challenge students with quality curriculum, instructional strategies, and resources that meet the needs of all learners. Our campus uses PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to establish a social culture that provides behavioral support to positively impact social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for all students. Through the Ennis ISD's Lion Pride Way, we instill character-building traits and develop strong leadership skills in our students to prepare them for future success.

Here at Dorie Miller, we believe in creating a partnership with families in order to enhance learning opportunities, educational progress, and school success for our students. Parents and families are encouraged to join the PTO, participate in fundraisers, and attend school events. Families can stay connected by following our school website and Facebook page. Together we can work to help students reach their full potential.
