• Ennis ISD is in Region 10 of the Texas Education Agency in the City of Ennis, Texas. The City of Ennis, located 30 minutes south of downtown Dallas, is emerging as a preferred development and residential site in the southern tier of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

    This historic community of 22,000 is nestled among three beautiful lakes that provide not only an abundance of recreational opportunities but also a residential setting that is unsurpassed. Ennis contains 144 historic structures that appear on the National Register of Historic Places. These structures grace the community and point to a proud past of railroad and agricultural activity in a bustling turn-of-the-century community.

    The district, formed in 1872, covers an area of 253.8 sq. miles in the southeastern corner of Ellis County and extends into a small area of Navarro County.

    The District is dedicated to offering the best education at all 11 of its campuses, focusing on student achievement for all students. EISD educators are highly qualified and work to ensure all students have the best resources and instruction to succeed.
