Officer Jessica Determan serves the students and staff of Sam Houston Elementary. Officer Determan graduated from Peru State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Officer Determan also attended and graduated from the North Central Regional Police Academy in Arlington. Prior to joining EISD Police in 2023, Officer Determan worked for the Duncanville Police Department. Officer Determan comes from a law enforcement family and has several years of experience working with children and teens of all ages. Officer Determan is passionate about educating and positively influencing the next generation while striving to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community - one positive interaction at a time.
